As you might already know if you’ve read Latinamamarama.com in the past, I lead a very busy family life. But nowadays what family isn’t busy? Part of my busy family time includes a fun weekly stop to our local Sam’s Club. I wasn’t the only one excited about this sponsored post because when the teenagers found out that KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner was involved, they were all in and ready to head to Sam’s Club!
My family heads to Sam’s Club often and my two teenaged boys already know what to place in the cart before I even tell them to – KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner is always one of those items. I try to get some of the grocery shopping done during the week but sometimes finding the time is hard. We recently took a trip to Sam’s Club after my son’s Basketball game on a Saturday afternoon. The whole family finds the shopping experience fun and Sam’s Club has a variety of choices for everyone’s liking. I love the great values and low prices. With two TEEN boys who eat me out of house and home it’s a huge deal.
My youngest son LOVES KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner – it is one of his favorite foods. My oldest teenager LOVES quesadillas. I decided to infuse both of their favorite meals by making a KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Southwest Quesadilla…mouthwatering!
1 box of KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 cup of cooked shredded chicken breast
1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup of rinsed and drained black beans
1 cup of salsa
1 Teaspoon of cumin
salt and pepper
First, start to cook the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner as directed on the box. Add the 1 Teaspoon of cumin to the shredded, cooked chicken breast as well as a pinch salt & pepper. Mix well. The cumin will give this a smoky flavor. YUM! Add the chicken, corn and black beans to the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner and mix until all ingredients are well blended.
Heat a skillet on medium heat. Then grab your flour tortillas – I used burrito sized tortillas because I already know my teenagers have huge appetites. Place a few spoonfuls of the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner mixture on one side of the flour tortilla. Then add fresh salsa and top with KRAFT singles for more of that great cheese flavor. Place on the heated skillet and brown the flour tortilla on each side. Cut the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Southwest Quesadilla into 3 triangles and serve with sour cream or some fresh guacamole.
Yes – it certainly is as delicious as it looks at making and eating these KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Southwest Quesadillas is great anytime. Whether it’s dinner or lunch time, or simply for a delicious snack.
