Agua de Jamaica/ Hibiscus Tea

Agua de JamaicaHibiscus Tea

Agua de Jamaica-Hibicus Tea

It’s been so hot and humid outside that nothing has been quenching my thirst.  I love drinking all kinds of specialty teas, especially iced tea. One of my absolute favorites is Agua de Jamaica or Hibiscus Tea. These loose flower teas can be bought at the grocery store by the pound.

Agua de Jamaica or Hibiscus Tea has lots of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. It has been said to help lower blood pressure, reduce cholesterol and replenish the body from dehydration. We all know that antioxidants are good for our bodies and who doesn’t want to detoxify!

This refreshing Agua de Jamaica reminds of the summers I spent in Mexico with my family. My aunt would make this drink for me once a week and I would watch her diligently – now I make it for my boys and family. So enjoy this easy refreshing drink!
